When these little seedy head things appeared at the bottom of one of our sloping flower beds a couple of summers ago my wife told me they are strictly weeds. They do seem to spread far and wide like some other weeds but I think they are delightful. Oddly enough this is one of my wife's favourite prints. It's up in her bathroom.

This one's a bit like that confusing spaghetti junction near Birmingham. Except in straight lines. With leaves. And shadows. So, nothing like it at all really.

If you leave a leeks for a while it will develop a sort of pod full of little flowers (see elsewhere in my Garden galleries). These are a lonely couple of those pods before they open and reveal their flowery contents.
